Okay, the last one was unexpected. I thought that Snorlax jumping into the water would cause a tsunami or a tidal wave or something. Instead, he commandeered S.S Anne and rammed it into the docks. Gotta say, for such a big and drowsy guy he sure can hold a grudge.

The realistic part would probably be that there is no Pokeball with a 100% success chance... I mean, it has been shown in the games that there are ways to nullify all Pokéballs, so why shouldn't some Pokémon have that as innate ability?

yeah, plus one of the Pokemon movie, I choose you, is talking about the Gen 1 with adding 1 legendary (for detail, you can google search). At the almost end of the movie, Ash's Pikachu did get inside of the Pokeball.
